Abstract pricing advice only goes so far. Here's what an actual working rate card looks like for a micro influencer (~35k Instagram, ~20k TikTok, lifestyle niche) — and the reasoning behind each line.

The example

  • Instagram Reel (15–60s) — $450. Includes one revision round and 30 days of organic usage. Reels are priced highest because they get the most reach and the most production time.
  • Instagram carousel (3–5 photos) — $300. Evergreen, saves well, cheaper to produce than video.
  • Instagram Story (3 frames) — $150. Disappears in 24h, so it's the budget entry point — deliberately, so small brands can test you.
  • TikTok video — $400. Priced near the Reel; note that TikTok Spark Ads usage is NOT included.
  • Paid usage / whitelisting — +50% per 30 days. If the brand runs your content as an ad, that's a separate license.
  • Exclusivity (category, 30 days) — +100%. Not working with competitors costs you real money; charge for it.

Why it works

  1. Per-format pricing matches how brands buy — they come wanting a Reel, not "a post."
  2. What's included is stated (revisions, usage window) so there's no scope creep argument later.
  3. Usage rights are a separate line. This is where inexperienced creators lose the most money. More on this in our TikTok and UGC rate card guide.
  4. The cheap entry point exists on purpose. A $150 Story turns "too expensive" into a first yes.

What this example leaves out

No "DM for rates" (brands skip you), no ten-package menu (analysis paralysis), no discounts for exposure. If you're building from zero, start with the formulas in how to price posts, reels and stories, then put your numbers on a page brands can act on with ADLiked.
