Why country data closes deals
Brands are constrained by shipping zones, ad accounts, languages and legal markets. If 62% of your audience is in the US and the brand only sells there, you just removed their biggest objection. If your audience is split across five markets, that is an asset for a global brand and a disqualifier for a local one — better to know upfront than to be dropped after a call.
What to show
- Top 3–5 countries with percentages, as a bar chart rather than a table — it is read in a second.
- Age and gender split, kept to the two or three bands that matter.
- Top cities if you work with local businesses, restaurants or events.
- Language if your content is bilingual — it often unlocks two markets at one rate.
Where to get the numbers
Instagram Insights → Total followers → Top locations; TikTok Analytics → Followers → Territories; YouTube Studio → Audience → Geography. Use the 28/30-day window and round to whole percentages.
Turn geography into pricing
A US/Canada-weighted audience supports premium rates; a strong single-city concentration supports local retainers. Pair the chart with your engagement rate so brands see both quality and reachability, and keep both live inside your digital media kit — it is item one on the brand manager's checklist.
